Historic Places Don’t Preserve Themselves
Without passionate volunteers, the stories, craftsmanship, and culture of our rural heritage risk fading away.
We’re here to equip you. Whether you have an hour a week or want to help at special events like the Heritage Festival, we’ll show you how to make an impact—no experience necessary.

There Is a Place For You Here
From hands-on restoration work to greeting visitors, helping in the gardens, or supporting behind-the-scenes operations—there’s a volunteer opportunity that fits your strengths and passions.
Knowledge of crops, animal husbandry, plant lore, harvesting, food preservation are now all but lost on the modern grocery shopper. I signed up to help with the festival one weekend, and now I come back every year. The people, the purpose—it’s just special.”
